I should be sleeping. . .
If only my blog entries were as interesting and lively as the comment debates I get into, lol. It snowed. It's all gone now but still, it snowed
- and there are still quite a lot of green leaves on the trees around here. I'm not going to Skepticon this year after all, turns out my parents are giving me a trip to Florida/Busch Gardens for my birthday. A little sad about missing Skepticon, but then since my car died I'm not sure how I'd get there anyway, lol. Maybe next year. And Florida at the end of November sounds pretty good right now. I also got a new digital camera for my birthday, got it early. Yes, my parents are spoiling me lately but I'm letting them, I know it has to do with my brother being gone and besides that whenever I tell them "no" they don't listen anyway. Been busy with work and reading a lot lately. I know, not very exciting. And now I'm off to sleep.

I want this experience. . .
Yes, I saw it in the featured post. Yes, I know it's temporary (3 to 4 days at most). Yes, I know it's expensive. And yes, my mom is probably going to faint and possibly disown me if I do this, lol. I would totally do this for my wedding, but since I am most likely never getting married I'll settle for CONvergence next year. Since CONvergence isn't until July I have enough time to save up the money and hopefully find a piercer in the area who knows how to do this. I will probably do about half the number of piercings in the above photo, and lower on the back so I can wear a bra as part of the costume. I have to wear a bra, and since it's CONvergence that will be enough, I won't need a backless shirt, just the bra. I won't be able to drink at CONvergence if I do this, unless I can find enough people to take shifts keeping any eye on me so I don't snag and rip the piercings, lol.
I know I seem like such a normal person, and I am for the most part, I just really, really like piercings. My high tolerance for pain makes piercings rather easy for me. This is quite an expensive piercing, especially for being so temporary, but since I have plenty of time and 2 lawsuits coming in I've decided I want this experience.
***Edit*** Okay, that was almost too easy. I Googled "corset piercing Minnesota" and immediately found Axis Body Modification. I was afraid I was going to have trouble finding a place to have this done, but I guess not, lol.

worst night ever. . .
Last night was absolutely terrible. I went in to the doctor at 10:30 a.m. to get an antibiotic for a UTI and the regular flu vaccine. They gave me Cipro for the UTI. I got home and took the Cipro at about 11:30 a.m. I was doing fine until around 2:00 p.m. when I started to get really tired and my arm was hurting pretty bad from the flu vaccine. By the time I was finishing up work around 5:30 p.m. I was nauseous, tired, dizzy, disoriented and had chills and a fever. I was so cold that I went to bed right after work and climbed under a sheet, a blanket, an electric blanket turned on to high and a comforter. I still couldn't get warm. My mother called at 9:00 and wanted to take me to the ER, but I hate being in the hospital and my general rule is if I'm not actually vomiting I'm not going to the hospital. I took some Tylenol and had something to eat and went back to bed. Then I had another bout of the chills. Finally by about 11:00 p.m. I was feeling about halfway better. Fortunately, by the time I got up this morning the fever was gone and I was feeling about 70% better. I'm still not 100% better but I'm almost there now.
I've been getting the flu vaccine for the past 8 or 9 years and never had a reaction to it so I doubt that was it. I also doubt it was due to the UTI as the symptoms were quite mild and I only went to get on the antibiotic to prevent it from possibly getting worse. I am quite certain it was a reaction to the Cipro. I need to call my clinic and let them know to note it on my chart that I am allergic to Cipro.

I need a new car. . .
So last week after we all piled into my car and drove to Ren Fest and back, my car broke. Something metal is scraping along the road when I drive it. And it's not something small, the noise is unbearable and I've stopped driving it. All I do know is that it's not the muffler. I'm a bit upset to say the least since just a few months ago I had to spend $750 to get it fixed. And that wasn't completely fixed, but they wanted another $500 to fix the other issue which they told me was directly related to hauling too much weight in my car. Not to be a bitch or anything, but the only weight my car hauls is my friends. Since I am about to get a check from one of the lawsuits I am going to be looking at cars. While I really wanted to put this money in the bank towards a new home, I need a car.
At any rate, I don't really know anything about cars. I need some suggestions. I currently have a 1997 Buick Skylark, a mid-size car, but I'd like to go back to a compact car. I want something that gets good mileage and isn't too expensive. My mom suggested the Aveo, but I did a little research on that and it didn't have very good reviews from what I could find. Any suggestions?

It occurred to me that if Obama's healthcare plan goes through I actually can move out of Minnesota. I won't have to worry about not having health insurance if I give up my job here. Now the biggest obstacle would be how to transport my 4 cats, lol.
