Why is it that quite often the people who believe that a parent should have the right to raise their child any way they see fit, up to and including letting the child die by not seeking medical care and opting for "prayer-only" healing, are the very same people that insist a woman should not be allowed to have an abortion?

It is because they think they understand the mechanics of the universe and define it as god's will.
They feel if they go to a doctor it's displaying a lack of faith that God will heal...religion f's with people's mind....

I have faith on medical care more so than faith.It's okay to pray and asking God for your loved one or yourself to recover and all, but at the same time, you need to rely on medical care to help you get better. Medical care can even save your life!Thanks for sharing this.
I think part of it is because they view women as existing just to have babies and nothing more.
